In 2002 when Richard Wright offered to bake a special cake for his cousin’s wedding celebration, little did he guess that a new career and business would soon follow!
Initially Richard worked out of his home kitchen, but he has since moved into a prime location downtown where he bakes up delicacies for Daffodillians and visitors alike. While his specialties are sweet muffins, rolls, and cookies, Richard has a special place in his heart for artisan breads. “Using the grains of our forefathers and mothers offers a sense of history to your meal,” Wright says.
Acting mayor, Paula Smith, agrees: “When you bite into one of Richard’s loaves, you get a taste of history.”
