Do you have your team together for the Daffodil Township Annual Plunge for Pets? Do you have your “dress-like-my-pet” costume ready? It’s all for a good cause, right? Remember, the Plunge benefits the Catherine M. Smith-Smith Memorial Cat House┬álocated in the Wright Station Historic Depot.

The Plunge activities start at 2:00PM at the South Dock of Lake Lottawata. Costumed participants will give everyone a brief show and the…THE PLUNGE into Lake Lottawata! Fortunately the weather will be a lot warmer than most years…a high of 54 degrees tomorrow, with partly sunny skies! I ran into Tanner Smith at The Book House and he said that the Park Board could still use a few more folks to help out on the Blanket Brigade. It’ll be warmer than a lot of years, but the water will still be cold.

As always, hot cocoa and popcorn is available by the bonfire. Yum!

Hope to see everyone there!

Back to School!

As all our kiddos start back to school, Daffodilians are aware of our need to be ever-watchful and protect the safety of our young citizens. Something I want to remind everyone about, though, is the need to be extra careful with your pets and those of our friends and neighbors. As the students head back to school pets may follow their young charges or they may dash excitedly to greet children on their treks to the schoolhouse. Please be aware of this added danger so we can all begin the school year happy, healthy, and safe!

Happy School Days! čÖé
